Papa Joe Visit

 There is nothing like a visit from Papa Joe!! 

 He made a pit stop for a few nights after traveling,

 to join us for some family time before heading back to home sweet home--Scotland.

This is Beau's creative make shift football uniform.

He and Naters spent literally two hours playing one-on-one tackle football in the backyard.

It was some of the most fun I've had with these two amazing men of God.  I had a blast taking video of these two in action.  Wish I could post the video, it was awesome.

 They were so proud of their little fire place they built.  It was a sad moment when I informed them they could not light it because it rested on wood--in a tree.

(p.s. Nater wears that uniform every day, until it stinks so bad that I have to wash it)

 

This is Brooks in outfit change #3 for the day.  Still no coat but at least put pants and snow boots on.

Also, side note that he did dig up half the yard that day. oh, my little wild man of God..

Family Nights

Family nights each week are the best!  The boys look forward to them

every week.  This night Beau and I started on his book report shoe box.  I know that seems like not much of a family night type of project--but if you know Beau, creating a shoe box of creativity is his favorite. The whole family joined in, gathering all sorts of fun things for his project.  Who knew school could be so fun, especially on a family night!

Laughter. sweets. relaxing. nothing better.

 This past week we decided to have a breakfast night
(our favorite always) 

and start celebrating Valentine's Day every day for a week.

  Beau is the best helper!

 All time favorite is story time with Dad by the fire.  

His stories are seriously the most creative and hilarious stories ever.  

I enjoy them too!

I mean really, does being a mom of boys get any better than this?!!

I had a surprise invite to a special "spy show" Beau and Nate very much thought out.  

They had every move and line planned out and even a costume change! 

Days like this make life as a momma oh so very sweet.
